Dorchester County is sought after for its superior quality of life, inspired by a love of history, nature, sailing, fishing and a tranquil waterfront setting. Many business assets and a distinctive mix of environmental, maritime and technology amenities attract a mix of larger business entities and entrepreneurs. Manufacturing, services, tourism and agriculture are the primary employment sectors with key employers including Amick Farms, Cambridge International, LWRC International, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, and GKD-USA. The county continues to diversify industry sectors as demonstrated by the development of a 113- acre Business and Technology Park that will serve the county and region. The park is located adjacent to the Cambridge-Dorchester Regional Airport.
