The Eastern Shore Innovation Center is the Dorchester Regional Technology Park’s flagship business incubator and home to the county’s economic development team.
Mission Statement
The Eastern Shore Innovation Center (ESIC) is dedicated to creating a flexible and professional work environment for startups and small businesses to ignite, fuel, and thrive. ESIC fosters entrepreneurship and business innovation serving as a catalyst to and a portal for new and emerging businesses in Dorchester County and the region.
Start-Up Support
We offer a fully supportive environment to accelerate business growth and help entrepreneurs develop the next generation of technologies. Startups can join the Innovation Center as a co-working space member or with dedicated space in our state-of-the-art facility where they can access a wide range of business resources and are partnered with an experienced business mentor, certified by SCORE, a Small Business Administration organization.
Dedicated space is available for up to four years, at which time, the business has the option to purchase permanent space in the tech park.

The Center offers a 1-Day Complimentary Co-working Pass from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Mon-Fri)—a great way for individuals to discover the professional elements of our workspace to best determine if ESIC membership would fit their needs. Co-Working and Office Space

Commercial Research Laboratory
The Innovation Center features a 1,200-square foot commercial wet laboratory operated by SunX Analytical funded in part by Rural Maryland Council Prosperity Investment Funding. The lab is the first facility of its kind on the Delmarva Peninsula. Contact Dr. Barry Pritchard to learn more.
Conference Space
Dorchester County agencies and private sector companies may host meetings and workshops at the Innovation Center during regular business hours pending space availability. Our state-of-the-art conference room accommodates up to 80 people theater style and 42 classroom style. Featuring flat screen presentation monitors, video teleconferencing, Smart Board, whiteboard walls for ideation, Bluetooth speaker, and free Wi-Fi.
