Class of 2020 to be Celebrated with Showcase Processional at Hyatt and Two Community Parades

Dorchester Superintendent of Education David Bromwell announced  a one-time only processional celebration on May 20 from 4-8 p.m. to coincide with the “Last Official Senior Day.”  Thanks to the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay, the Dorchester County Public School Graduation Showcase will be staged on the drive leading up to the Cambridge resort.

C-SDHS and NDHS graduates’ individual pictures and senior memories will be posted for the entire community to view during this time period,” said Bromwell. ” Students, parents, relatives, and the community can view this Showcase as many times as they wish from their cars, as they drive the lane leading up to the hotel.”

The showcase features individualized graphics of each graduating senior created by Mid-Shore Graphics. After the showcase, all graduate pictures and banners will be posted at each school and eventually will be given to the graduates as a keepsake.

In addition to the Showcase, each high school will host a parade on the scheduled graduation days: North Dorchester H.S. on May 27 and Cambridge-South Dorchester H.S. on May 28. Dorchester County will have two parades

Superintendent Bromwell encourages the community to support the Class of 2020 at the Showcase or respective parades. Learn more and read his complete statement posted in the Dorchester Banner’s article.
