With many families staying close to home, Dorchester offers numerous outdoor ventures for residents and visitors alike. Here are three we’re looking to take advantage of this month.
Cruise the Choptank
Enjoy a scenic riverboat cruise down the Choptank River aboard the Dorothy & Megan. The authentic replica stern paddle wheelers are based at the Suicide Bridge Restaurant in Hurlock. See schedule of public cruises for dinner, sightseeing, Sunday lunch or crab feasts through the season.
Dine Under the Stars
Al Fresco dining continues on Poplar Street in Cambridge Thursday through Saturday, 3 to 10 pm with RAR Brewing, Ava’s Pizzeria and Jimmie & Sooks. Other restaurants with onsite outdoor dining include Carmela’s Cucina, Snappers, Portside, Canvasback, Theo’s, Ocean Odyssey, and River View. Sidewalk and alley way seating available at Blue Ruin, DocoVino, Black Water Bakery and Vintage 414. For an up to date listing of all Dorchester Restaurants with outdoor dining options, click here.
Buy Locally Made and Sourced Products
The Cambridge Farmer’s Market is the perfect place to buy fresh produce, seafood, baked goods and craft spirits. Held every Thursday from 3-6 pm (or sell out) through October. Visit their website or Facebook page for a list of vendors.
