Dorchester County Economic Development Celebrates National Small Business Week with a Small Business Expo
Dorchester County Economic Development celebrated National Small Business Week with a Small Business Expo at the Eastern Shore Innovation Center in partnership with the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Project Opportunity.
The day started with an expo and networking along with a continental breakfast provided by Project Opportunity. After the Expo, the finance panel began moderated by SBA’s District Representative, Steve Umberger. The panel discussion explored access to capital. Panelists included Chris Honeman from Shore United Bank, Letitia Nichols from USDA, John Fleming Regional Director SBA, Bernard Carter MCE, and Tim Carter from Queenstown Bank.
After the finance panel there was a Veterans Certification presentation by Caroline Henson from the SBA. The day concluded with visits to three small businesses that were congratulated on their Success by the SBA: Johnson Cleaning Services, Bay Country Shop and Craigs Drugstore.
