Dorchester County Economic Development is proud to join communities across the state in celebrating Maryland Economic Development Week, recognizing the businesses, organizations, partners, and people who contribute to a stronger local economy.

Economic development happens every day in Dorchester County. You can see it in a small business opening its doors, an existing company expanding, a new project moving forward, or an entrepreneur taking the next step to turn an idea into a business. It also happens behind the scenes through workforce development, infrastructure investment, business assistance, site development, and partnerships that help create the conditions for long-term growth.

Throughout Economic Development Week, Dorchester County Economic Development is highlighting the people and partnerships that make this work possible while increasing awareness of the resources available to businesses throughout the county.

As part of the celebration, the community is also invited to connect directly with the Economic Development team and learn more about the work happening across Dorchester County. Whether you are an established business owner, entrepreneur, community partner, or simply interested in the county’s economic future, Economic Development Week is an opportunity to learn more about the resources, projects, and partnerships supporting Dorchester County.

We are proud to celebrate the businesses that invest here, the partners who collaborate with us, and the people whose work continues to move Dorchester County forward.
