Recently, Chesapeake College and David Willey Welding were featured on WBOC as well as Telemundo highlighting an upcoming English as a Second language (ESL) welding course.
Chesapeake College is offering a free welding class for students learning English this December. David Willey Welding in Cambridge will administer the training while the college will teach technical English one night a week.
Once the training is over the students will get a certificate and have the option to take the intermediate level course. The hope is to fill a void in the welding industry and provide opportunities for the ESL community.
