Don’t wait until after a disaster to make a plan. The Small Business Administration (SBA) has several resources to guide your small business through the appropriate steps for emergency preparedness.
Preparing for hurricanes, fire, tornados, flooding, earthquakes and even winter weather should be a priority for your business. Create a program for your business, identify the crucial business systems, test your business systems, and create an emergency communications plan. The SBA has several web links that could assist you in protecting your employs and reducing the financial impact if disaster does strike.
