It’s National Farmers Market Week! Have you visited the Farmers Market lately?  Farmers Markets build business, help communities, stimulate local economies and provide healthy choices. Buying local provides an economic opportunity for the famers and brings seasonal fresh choices to consumers. Celebrate our farmers and support their businesses by going to the Cambridge Farmers Market.

The market began in year 2000 and has expanded from the grounds at Sailwinds to its current location at Long Wharf. Strong community partnerships, good management and community support are part of the “local food for local people” experience when visiting the market.

You can enjoy the music of Lisa Rowe from 4-6 @ the Cambridge Farmers Market today. Bobby Reed will perform on August 18th. In addition to produce there is meat, eggs, mushrooms, herbs, wine, flowers, handmade jewelry, local art, fragrant soaps and other crafts. The Cambridge Main Street Farmers’ Market is held every Thursday from 3-6 PM through October 13.
