Dorchester County boasts several museums highlighting agriculture (Neild Museum); nautical (Richardson Museum) and ethnic culture (Harriet Tubman Museum) of the area.
A plethora of artistic talent can be found in Dorchester County. The Dorchester Center for the Arts, formed in 1970, is dedicated to enriching Maryland’s Eastern Shore community through high quality, engaging programming in the visual, literary, musical and performing arts. A non-profit organization, the Dorchester Center for the Arts is situated on Historic High Street in Cambridge where it offers gallery shows, art classes and an artisans’ gift shop.
