Another major milestone in the development of the Dorchester County Regional Technology Park was reached on May 7,  when the County Council approved the design-build team for the Innovation Crossroads Incubator. Working in partnership with Cambridge-based architects Crosby and Associates and Lane Engineering, Willow Construction was selected.

“The winning team presented a preliminary proposal that was a well-thought-out, unique, and cost effective approach. Willow’s creative integration of Dorchester County elements and sustainable practices made them the top choice by our expert panel,” said DCED Director Keasha Haythe.

With majority funding secured earlier this Spring via a $1.2 million state economic development grant, award of the design and construction contract will allow the project to take a major leap forward. Construction is scheduled to begin this fall and completed in Spring 2014. DCED will be hiring a part-time incubator manager to coordinate with the design-build team and begin recruiting prospective tenants.
