How to find, get and keep your next job
The Dorchester County Economic Development (DCED) office will host a free, two-hour workshop on Friday, October 4 for job seekers interested in sharpening their interview skills at their offices at 5263 Bucktown Road, Cambridge. Led by RPS ISG International Marketing Manager Dean Goodwin, the training provides practical information for employees at all levels – whether new to the workforce, returning or experienced professionals.
“As economic development professionals – we wear two hats, one to help businesses get the services and support they need and one to help our workforce access resources and skills to gain a competitive edge,” said DCED’s Keasha Haythe adding, “Both are critical to building a strong business infrastructure.”
With almost three decades in management, marketing and interviewing, Goodwin will take participants ‘behind the scenes’ of the interview room. He will reveal common practices and success strategies to help every candidate improve their application and interview skills to close the deal and get the desired job.
Workshop topics include: Resume & Cover Letter; Getting an Interview; Preparing for an Interview; Your First Day at Work; Your First Week at Work; and, Building Trust & Relationships That Will Move You Higher.
