The Cannabis Council Announces Public Forum

Cambridge, MD – The Cannabis Council (TCC) is a non-profit trade organization formed by local scientists and patient advocates to support the Medical Cannabis Industry in Maryland. The Council seeks to empower producers, dispensaries, physicians, patients and caregivers with a clear and practical understanding of cannabis science.

“Our goal is to bring credibility to the Cannabis Industry through the implementation of public awareness campaigns and the sponsorship of rigorous scientific study. There is a clear need for the development of reliable training programs for patient facing dispensary agents. Further, it is incumbent on us, as early industry stakeholders, to work as a team to ensure that the patients are well informed regarding the benefits of our program and to ask their participation in its improvement. With the implementation of a fact-based patient efficacy study, I envision the State’s Medical Cannabis Program will become the model for the entire industry,” said Barry F. Pritchard, the organization’s Founder.

The mission of The Cannabis Council is to ensure the successful implementation of Maryland’s Medical Cannabis Program whose goal is to provide safe and well characterized products for its qualifying patients. To that end, a Public Awareness Campaign has been created.
