Dorchester Regional Technology Park

The Dorchester County Economic Development Office recently began a proactive, multi-media campaign to market the Dorchester Regional Technology Park to prospective businesses. The campaign targets new and expanding businesses both from within the county and in the greater Chesapeake region as well as developers and commercial brokers looking for affordably priced, conveniently located building lots for companies they represent.

The campaign launched May 1 with a press release featuring the new, starting sale prices of $23,000 an acre following an independent fair market value analysis. Multiple articles showcasing the Park as well as the almost 100% fully leased Eastern Shore Innovation Center, the Park’s anchor tenant, have been published in online and print media. Digital advertisements are running through mid-June in targeted media from Wicomico to Anne Arundel counties.

To complement the public relations and advertising, a new 6-page brochure  outlining the Tech Park’s many advantages, assets and eligibility requirements went online today and will be mailed to select stakeholders and business prospects in the coming week.

The 113-acre Technology Park consists of 56 improved acres and approximately 57 acres for storm water management, forest conservation and a water tower site. All 12 lots ranging from 2.26 to 5.5 acre (average 4.7 acres) turnkey are connected to public water and sewer.
